Series 2000 Labeling Head

The 2000 Series Labeling Head can be equipped with any Sato or Zebra OEM print engine available. Print engines are available in either 203 dpi, 300 dpi, or 600 dpi depending on the printer model with print speeds of up to 12" per second. The machine handles a 12" O.D. roll and has full roll rewind capacity. The machine features a standard PLC Control, fully enclosed aluminum plate construction of controls and heavy duty rewind assembly. Applicators are bolt on, making them interchangeable should the nature of the application change.

Series 2000 Controls

The Series 2000 is equipped with an Automation Direct PLC as standard.

The Series 2000 can be equipped with the Allen Bradley 1500 Micrologix PLC as an option.

Series 2000 Print Engine Options:

LSI installs OEM Print Engines manufactured by Sato, Zebra, Avery, and Datamax.

Series 2000 Web Width Options:

Web width is determined by the print engine.

Series 2000 Unwind Options:

All Series 200 Print & Apply Labeling Heads are equipped with a 12" O.D. unpowered unwind assembly as standard.

16" Powered Unwind Option

Increasing the roll size from 12" to 16" adds approximately 80% to the length of the roll. The powered unwind assembly reduces the load on the web, improving label stop accuracy and minimizing web breakage. The reduced load on the print engine also ensures consistent web speed across the print head and therefore consistent print quality.

Series 2000 Rewind Options:

All Series 2000 Print & Apply Labeling Heads are equipped with a separately powered rewind assembly.

Series 2000 Low Label/Web Break/Ribbon Out/Label Out Package Alarm Option:

Low Label Sensor

The low label sensor is adjusted to look across the unwind roll of labels. On most machines the low label sensor will only illuminate an alarm light to provide a warning to the operator.

Web Break Sensor

The web break sensor is located just prior to the rewind roller assembly. The web is inserted into the slot to indicate presence of the web. Should the web break, the sensor will no longer see the presence and therefore indicate a fault condition. On most labeling heads this will illuminate an alarm light.

Label Out/Ribbon Out Sensor

The label out and ribbon out sensors are located inside the OEM print engine.

On most labeling heads this will illuminate an alarm light.
