Blow-On Applicator Model 050/Model 053

LSI offers two basic types of blow-on applicators. The Model 050 is the standard blow-on applicator provided. This is a universal applicator that can be used with most label shapes and sizes up to 4 3/4" X 4 3/4", without requiring change parts. The Model 050 applicator uses a controlled pattern of tubes which blow out high pressure air to apply the label. The label is held onto a grid by a fan creating a low pressure, high volume vacuum which holds the label until the application cycle. The Model 053 is used for print and apply applications. It utilizes the same vacuum box as the Model 050 but also includes a peeler bar extension to enable the applicator to be installed on the labeling head.

Single Label Blow-On Model 051

The Model 051 Single Label Blow-On. This applicator is normally smaller in size than the 050 which may make it more desirable for installations with limited space. This applicator is designed to operate with one specific size label; therefore, it usually has superior performance to the Model 050, but it does require change parts to run additional size labels.

The construction of the Model 051 Applicator is different from that of the Model 050. This applicator uses a fixed hole pattern designed for a specific label and uses a vacuum transducer instead of a fan to provide a source of vacuum.
